Bruce Terris (Co-Writer)
Chicago-based writer Bruce Terris first got into independent film as a first assistant director and worked on numerous Chicago productions, including KWIK STOP, featured at last year's Los Angeles and Chicago International Film Festivals, BROTHER 2, by award-winning Russian filmmaker Alexei Balabanov, and the Project Greenlight film, STOLEN SUMMER . Setting his sights on writing and directing, Bruce produced his feature film directorial debut, HOLE IN THE WALL, followed by the IFP Production Fund winner, FLYING, which was officially selected as one of the 11 shorts in competition at the 55th Cannes Film Festival . He is currently represented by Lawrence Mattis at Circle of Confusion, Ltd.
Bob Ackerman (Editor)
JEFF FARNSWORTH marks Bob's independent film debut. Formerly a successful child actor, Bob is a Chicago-based commercials editor. His work on Minute Maid's LUNCH LADY earned him an honourable mention at the 2002 Cannes Advertising Festival. He currently works at Avenue Edit.
Marie Frick (Producer)
Marie Frick came to the U.S. from Germany in 1996 to attend film school at Columbia College. She has worked as a 2nd assistant director on the independent films BALL IN THE HOUSE, starring David Strathairn and Jennifer Tilly, and STOLEN SUMMER, the Project Greenlight/Miramax film featuring Aidan Quinn, Kevin Pollak and Bonnie Hunt. She has also worked as a production coordinator on various independent productions. JEFF FARNSWORTH marks Marie's second producer credit, following Bruce Terris's FLYING in 2001.
Alan Thatcher (Director of Photography)
Alan Thatcher is a veteran cinematographer based in Chicago. Although the majority of his work has been in commercials, he has also shot the independent feature TOTALLY CONFUSED and has worked as a camera operator/2nd-unit cinematographer on features such as LIGHT IT UP, STRAIGHT TALK, LOVE JONES, STIR OF ECHOES, THE NEGOTIATOR and NEW PORT SOUTH. JEFF FARNSWORTH is Alan's first dramatic shoot on HD 24p.
Stella Nwimo (Executive Producer)
London based Stella's first film as producer, IS IT THE DESIGN ON THE WRAPPER won the Palme d' Or at the 50th Cannes Film Festival. Several shorts followed, including PRESERVE, THE OUTLET and a series of films shot on mini-DV, one of which, VENKEL'S SYNDROME, was selected for the Berlin Film Festival, 2001. Stella has worked as a Line Producer and Production Manager on the feature films HUMAN TRAFFIC for Fruit Salad Films/Irish Screen, and SPEAK LIKE A CHILD for BBC Films/BFI and the Arts Council. Her TV credits include SIREN SPIRITS, BEHIND THE MASK, and CRUCIAL TALES for the BBC, and WAR CRIES for Channel 4. Stella has a slate of projects in development, including Bearface, an urban thriller with writer/director Barrie White, and ASBURY PARK with Vincent Gallo (BUFFALO 66) attached to star and Larry Clark (BULLY, KIDS) as the Executive Producer.
Christina Varotsis (Executive Producer)
Based in Chicago, Christina Varotsis's recent film productions as Line Producer/Production Manager include Project Greenlight's STOLEN SUMMER produced by Live Planet and Miramax, BROTHER 2 , by award-winning Russian filmmaker Alexei Balabanov, KWIK STOP, official selection at last year's Los Angeles and Chicago International film festivals, BALL IN THE HOUSE, produced by Redeemable Features and starring Jonathan Tucker, David Strathairn and Jennifer Tilly, and UNCLE NINO, starring Joe Mantegna and Anne Archer. She recently wrapped her first digital effort with MEDITATIONS ON TRAFFICKING. Christina has been on the board of the Independent Feature Project/Chicago since 1997.
